Symbiosis

A close and prolonged coexistence of two to three different species; appears in many forms: as mutually beneficial cooperation), more frequently, as cooperation with benefits for only one side, or as parasitism, when it is beneficial to one side but detrimental to the other. Examples: the microbiome, symbiont of the human; pollinating insects exist in symbiosis with flowers; a coral reef is a conglomeration of complex symbiotic relations.
