Mayflies





Ancient insects; live in two environments: water and air. At the larval stage, M. live in water for two to three years; after emerging from the larva, M. flies into the air; do not feed: mouth organs are poorly developed or absent; main task is to breed; M. have lives from several hours to four to five days; also known as a dayfly.

Location: the glass door of the entrance to the periodic room.
